Care for a Loved One with Developmental Disabilities—and Get Paid
Did you know that in Colorado, family members can be paid to care for their loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)? Thanks to the Family Caregiver Act, passed in 2008, individuals receiving services through the HCBS Waiver now have more freedom to choose who provides their care—including trusted family members.
This program empowers families by supporting care at home, where loved ones thrive best. If you're already providing care, or want to step into a caregiving role for a family member with IDD, you may qualify to be compensated for your time and dedication.
What You’ll Do:
Support daily living activities (meals, hygiene, mobility)
Support community involvement and daily routines
Provide companionship, stability, and encouragement
Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
Provide transportation to appointments and community events
Document services provided
What We Offer:
Competitive pay - paying 81% of the Medicaid IRSS Daily Rate for contractors
Ongoing support to help you succeed
Flexible schedule that fits your family’s lifestyle
Training and support
24/7 assistance from our team
You don’t need to be a medical professional—just someone who knows and loves the person you're caring for.
