Colorado is facing a crisis in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, ranking near the bottom nationally in fiscal effort toward funding these essential services. As a result, people in need of support often face wait times that can stretch for several years. Addressing this issue will require sustained effort and a strong commitment to increasing state funding in order to eliminate the waitlist and ensure timely access to services.
